SSET is Easy for Educators to Use
Lisa Jaycox (bio) describes SSET's teacher friendly format.
In developing SSET, we put a lot of time and effort into making sure it would really match what educators are thinking, and the way they think, and what they're used to seeing.
So, we did focus groups with them. We looked at the lesson plan format that they're used to seeing when they get a curriculum, and we really tried to match that. So it's laid out in a way that is very familiar to teachers, and that just makes the material more accessible I think.
We got a lot of good feedback during our pilot test about it being sort of ready to pick up off the shelf and use. We do training, of course, but it's familiar to them. It doesn't feel like a clinical program.
